Effective February 3, 2014, A New City of Ventura Ordinance is enforce. The rule is called "The City of Ventura Private Sewer Lateral Ordinance" It requires the owners of ALL Ventura residential and commercial property to perform a video inspection and repair (if necessary) of private sewer laterals (older than 10 years). This inspection and repair will be required at the point of sale of any property whose lateral sewer lines was not installed in the last 10 years. The inspection will be good for 10 years after the sale of the property.
The beaches in Ventura, California are easily accessed from the city of Ventura. The beautiful beaches have some of the state's best surfing I am told. The view of the ocean from the Pierpont beach is spectacular especially at sunset.

From the tower at the visitor center there is a 360 degree view of the harbor, islands, Ventura and the mountains. You can go whale watching around the Channel Islands.
