In 1989 the last scene in the movie "Back to the Future Part III," was filmed in Port Hueneme at the Ventura Road railroad crossing (near Surfside Drive). In the movie, the Delorean is on the railroad tracks between Surfside 1 and Anacapa View Townhomes and is hit by a train after the Ventura Road railroad crossing near Surfside 4.
