Ventura Oceanfront or Beachfront means there are no homes between you and the sand or rocks which touches the surf. It also means that you are very close to the water edge.
If you have ocean front property, no one can build in front of you. If your home is not ocean front you have a beach house. You now may have a great view overlooking a one story ocean front house or vacant lot. But someday that house or lot will be replaced with a 3 story home, and you will no longer have a great view. Some of the Oceanfront community have an HOA dues of 1500 per year.
In a Newspaper ad it can say "white water view" but the house maybe on the Ventura Hillside a half mile or more away. Or it can say "ocean view" and it means the home is on a Camarillo hillside ten miles from the sea.
